When I lived and studied in New York during the 1990s, my college required me to take a blood test. The results came in a sealed envelope. At the time, the internet was still in its infancy, and labs didn’t use it the way they do today.Out of curiosity, I opened the envelope to see the results. The text, numbers, and medical notes were indecipherable. The document clearly wasn’t made for someone like me to understand. That moment sparked the challenge of redesigning it.That’s how the Bludworks Graphic Report was born. By transforming the printed report into a visual interpretation, it became much easier to understand what the results actually meant. I solved a personal problem in a way that addressed an issue affecting thousands of people.One of Brazil’s Top 5 laboratories was impressed by the solution, and the Bludworks Graphic Report became a reality. In 2024, the company was acquired by a German health tech startup.

PorĂŁo do Rock (Rock Basement) is a music festival in BrasĂlia, DF, running for over two decades, showcasing national and international artists and drawing thousands of fans nationwide.Each year, the festival refreshes its visual identity to capture the diversity of musical styles and its evolving audience.I was tasked with designing the logo and visual identity. I incorporated contemporary trends like triangular background effects and blended classic rock symbols—skulls and guitars—into the typography, creating an indie/hipster aesthetic.I also embraced the emerging polygon trend, using textured, irregular hexagons to evoke the “worn” look of band gear—scratched suitcases and instruments. The result was a brand that deeply connected with the audience, embodying the festival’s vibrant spirit.


CoronaScan was a mobile application designed to detect people carrying the Covid-19 virus using the Bluetooth connection of smartphones.HOW IT WORKSAfter registering and logging in, the user would answer a questionnaire designed to determine their potential for contagion. In the case of infection, the app would detect the infected person within a 10-meter radius and issue an alert. The app’s functionality relied on the interaction between enabled Bluetooth connections and the results of the questionnaire.THE BRANDThe name CoronaScan is self-explanatory and easy to understand. The graphic element is an irregular shape referencing a microorganism as seen under a microscope. The layout, typography, and color palette work consistently with the logo, making the app easier to use while serving its ultimate goal: preventing the spread of contagion.
